Two Wiregrass Members on Statewide Committee

Morgan Drinkard of Troy University and Madison Ward Milanowski of HudsonAlpha representing Wiregrass in a new statewide committee for the Public Relations Council of Alabama to prioritize chapter support. The new committee will focus on chapter research needs and initiatives and recommend meaningful ways the state organization can help.

“When you give tailored resources to chapters, you give support to the professionals and students who are members,” says PRCA President Mikala McCurry APR. “Everyone wins.”

Like many associations, PRCA is fully led by a volunteer board. These members in leadership also work full time jobs in industries which face current challenges. As a consequence, workplace expert and author Brian Elliott notably writes people spend an extra-high percentage of their time doing what they already know, and too little time learning anything new.

That’s where PRCA wants to step in.

This committee will be a think tank for doing better, more gratifying work at the chapter level. New chapters like Wiregrass add relevant perspectives to the discussion.
